Nurse, Healthcare Nursing

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Nurse (RN or LPN) to work in our contemplative monastic setting. We are looking for someone who will provide high-quality care and perform administrative nursing duties in our monastery infirmary. Responsibilities include assessing needs, overseeing medications, and collaborating with the supervisor and other staff to care well for our sisters. Your compassion and knowledge will help our sisters to live out our mission of prayer.

• Assist the sisters both in the infirmary and in the monastery with medical concerns.
• Provide personal care to sisters living in the infirmary and be physically able to assist with personal care.
• Assist with medication management: prescriptions, over‑the‑counter medications, and medical supplies.
• Schedule medical appointments for sisters and communicate with doctors’ offices.
• Occasionally accompany sisters to and from medical appointments.
• Communicate well with the infirmary staff and sisters and be flexible as situations and needs arise.
• Have a compassionate and attentive approach to all elders, especially those suffering from dementia.
• Assist with occasional light housework.
• Maintain accurate medical records.

• Background in elder care, home care, or long‑term care facilities is preferred.

• Massachusetts Nursing License (LPN or RN).
• Approx. 30 hours per week, weekdays.
• Wage: by negotiation.
• Character references and resume required.
• Experience caring for elders is necessary.
