BG Staffing is actively seeking a skilled and reliable Apartment Maintenance Technician to join our team in Braintree, MA (02184). This position is ideal for a hands-on professional who takes pride in maintaining high-quality residential environments and delivering excellent service to residents.

Position Overview

As an Apartment Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for the day-to-day maintenance and repair of apartment homes and community facilities. You will play a key role in ensuring the property remains safe, functional, and visually appealing while providing prompt and professional service to residents.

Schedule & Pay

• Schedule: Monday - Friday
• Hours: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
• Lunch: 30-minute unpaid lunch break
• Pay Rate: $23.00 per hour
• Additional: On-call rotation required (overtime opportunities available)

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on apartment units, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and general carpentry
• Respond promptly to service requests and resident maintenance needs
• Prepare vacant units for new residents (turnovers/make-readies)
• Conduct preventative maintenance to ensure long-term property upkeep
• Troubleshoot and resolve maintenance issues efficiently and safely
• Maintain property grounds and common areas as needed
• Participate in on-call rotation for after-hours emergency maintenance
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and company policies

Qualifications

• Previous apartment maintenance or related experience preferred
• Working knowledge of basic maintenance trades (plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry)
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Reliable transportation and flexibility for on-call responsibilities
• EPA certification is a plus (if applicable)
