The Norfolk Companies is seeking a skilled Carpenter III to support our building materials and remodeling divisions across New England. In this senior hands-on role, you will perform advanced rough and finish carpentry, including cabinetry, trim, doors, and related installations for residential and light commercial projects. You'll interpret blueprints, coordinate with design and sales teams, and help guide junior carpenters to ensure high-quality, code-compliant work.

As part of a family-founded, collaborative company, you'll work directly with homeowners and contractors, uphold strong customer service standards, and take pride in craftsmanship while building a long-term career in a stable, growth-oriented organization.

Responsibilities

  • Perform advanced rough and finish carpentry for residential and light commercial projects
  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and material lists
  • Measure, cut, assemble, and install cabinets, trim, doors, and related components
  • Lead or mentor junior carpenters and coordinate work with other trades
  • Ensure work meets quality, safety, and building code standards
  • Maintain tools, equipment, and a clean, organized work area
  • Collaborate with sales, design, and installation teams to meet customer expectations
  • Communicate professionally with homeowners, contractors, and internal teams
