Salary Range: $43.00 - $45.00 Hourly Assistant Director of Resident Services

As we continue to grow the impact of our Resident Services program across our communities, we are seeking a compassionate, collaborative, and experienced Assistant Director of Resident Services to help strengthen our team and advance our mission of creating places that residents are proud to call home.

The Assistant Director of Resident Services plays a critical, hands-on role in delivering high-quality Resident Services across the Schochet portfolio. This position focuses on property-level execution, including fill-in coverage, case assistance, training, and day-to-day operational support of RSCs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with complex resident cases, including tenancy stabilization, crisis response, and service coordination.
  • Provide coverage during RSC vacancies, leaves, and transitions.
  • Support RSCs with case management, intake, referrals, documentation, and problem-solving.
  • Train and mentor RSCs and model effective resident engagement and best practices.
  • Develop resident programs and support community-building efforts.
  • Support residents and Property Management during renovations, relocations, capital projects, and other operational changes.
  • Collaborate with community providers and Property Management to address resident needs.
  • Assist with HUD compliance, grants, data collection, and reporting.
  • Participate in special projects and provide departmental support as needed.
  • Regular travel is a requirement of this position.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Human Services, Public Health, or related field preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in affordable housing, social services, or public health.
  • Strong communication, organization, documentation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience in training or mentoring staff preferred.
  • Knowledge of HUD programs preferred.
  • Valid Drivers License and own transportation required.
