Inventory Control Specialist

Halton Hills, ON, Canada

Hourly Pay: $22.00 - Shift: 3:30 pm – 12:00 am

Your Role

Part of a shared service center that operates for multiple branches, the Customs Entry Specialist processes the Customs Entry in a timely manner and with accuracy.

What Are You Going To Do?
  • Assist with the design, development, and maintenance of the in‑house inventory management program
  • Support the daily, weekly, and monthly cycle count program for the site, ensuring compliance to SLA requirements
  • Support the Replenishment/Slotting team
  • Identify and assist with resolving inventory discrepancies
  • Assist with planning and undertaking periodic annual wall‑to‑wall physical inventory count
  • Generate and analyze reports from the inventory management system for management
  • Follow company policies/procedures and Quality/safety/HR related policies and procedures
  • Ensuring daily reporting of operational/quality requirements are completed
  • Stacking goods in the correct storage bays, following inventory control instructions
  • Perform special projects as required by the Inventory Control Supervisor
Qualifications
  • Must have at least 2 years’ experience in an operations or distribution environment with specific experience in inventory management
  • Must have experience with WMS
  • A College Diploma is required, with a background in logistics/supply chain will be a plus
  • Must have excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to interact with customers and employees
  • Must possess problem solving, conflict resolution, decision making, and planning/organizing skills
  • Excellent written and oral communication and excellent listening skills
  • Ability to multi‑task and excellent time management and computer skills
  • Must be creative and possess the ability to think outside the box
  • Must be able to work afternoons and nights
  • Must be legally able to work in Canada
Skills
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office, internet, web‑based and job specific software applications
  • Fluent in English, both written and oral
