Purpose
Provide strategic leadership and commercial management of Nucor Rebar Fabrications estimating operations consistent with Nucor Rebar Fabrications vision and values. Primary focus includes the hiring, training, retention and development of estimating teammates and ensuring efficient and timely workflow across the region.
Basic Job Functions
Lead and promote safety culture, including and demonstrating concern for personal safety for all, and exemplify “Safety First” culture. Ensure compliance with all applicable safety rules, regulations, procedures and guidelines.
Communicate clear expectations for NRF estimating teammates. Provide mentorship and coaching to teammates by caring about their success, proactively sharing information and actively providing timely feedback.
Oversee the hiring, training, evaluation and workflow of estimating teammates within the region.
Liaise with the Regional Sales Manager on bidding forecasts and upcoming major projects within the region to ensure meeting market participation goals.
Provide regular reports on team productivity, utilization, and capacities within the region and from those with NRFDE.
Ability to establish and use concrete volumes and ratios to perform regular checks to ensure quality estimates.
Compile and manage concrete volume databases for engineers and project-specific guidelines.
Communicate and clarify follow-through with all company policies and procedures.
Establish clear goals and expectations for all estimating teammates, with ongoing follow-up and constructive feedback to ensure alignment and continuous improvement.
Perform other duties as assigned by the Sales Manager from time to time.
Minimum Qualifications
Legally authorized to work in Canada
Minimum 10 years’ experience in Rebar Estimating/detailed
Knowledge of related business, labour relations and industry regulations and standards.
Experience in analyzing and implementing continuous teammate development plans.
Ability to work as a team leader/member on projects with an aptitude for identifying potential problems and solutions.
Organized and detail-oriented.
Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Physical Demands
Walking, sitting, standing, bending.
Using hands to operate objects, tools, computers and other electronic devices.
Lifting/Handling computers and related equipment (typically not more than 25 pounds).
Ability to travel to branches within the region.
Moderate noise level.

Salary Range
$100,000-$140,000 CAD per year - Salary commensurate with experience
