The ideal candidate will have substantial senior management experience, particularly in Indigenous governance and Arctic issues.
Your role will include overseeing financial responsibilities, implementing AAC priorities, and collaborating with various stakeholders to champion the interests of Arctic Athabaskan Peoples. Your strategic planning skills will be crucial in promoting Indigenous knowledge and resilience.
Key Responsibilities:
• Direct operations and enhance governance practices
• Oversee budgets, audits, and funding agreements
• Engage closely with Board members and stakeholders
• Promote environmental policy and climate adaptation
• Travel for national and international advocacy initiatives
Requirements:
• At least five years of experience in senior leadership
• In-depth understanding of Indigenous cultures and Treaties
• Proven ability to build collaborative relationships
• Exceptional planning, communication, and diplomatic skills
• Willingness to undergo a criminal records check
