Become a Producer at CBC North based in Iqaluit, Nunavut. This engaging permanent role focuses on assigning and producing content for TV and radio while highlighting Inuktitut programming.
In this pivotal position, you will take charge of the CBC North news development team, ensuring the creation of impactful journalism across platforms. You'll work collaboratively with a digital Senior Producer to implement a digital-first strategy and facilitate story development with station producers. Your responsibilities will also include guiding staff through the production process and enhancing their storytelling abilities.
Key Responsibilities:
• Establish daily editorial plans for news channels
• Partner with digital Senior Producer for content strategies
• Manage resources for video production and platforms
• Support reporters and VJs in developing pitches
• Create and edit high-quality scripts and stories
Requirements:
• University degree and at least 5 years in journalism
• Leadership experience in a production setting
• Strong skills in video storytelling and narrative construction
• Knowledge of journalism ethics and legal considerations
• Problem-solving mindset and dedication to inclusivity
