Media Matters 2026 Summer Internship program is looking for a News Reporter/Journalist to join our fast-paced editorial team. This is an opportunity to gain hands-on experience across print, digital and video—while covering an evolving, tech-driven industry.

Working closely with the Editor, you’ll contribute to a wide range of content, from breaking news and feature stories to social media and video. You’ll also learn how to think strategically about content—how it’s created, distributed and measured for impact.

• Research, write, edit and proofread content across multiple publications and websites
• Contribute original stories to our daily industry news coverage
• Develop product spotlights and industry features
• Adapt and publish content across social media platforms
• Conduct interviews and produce engaging feature stories
• Apply SEO best practices to digital content
• Assist in creating video content for news and online use

• A strong writer with a natural curiosity and a creative mindset
• An effective communicator who can tell stories clearly and confidently
• Self-motivated, but thrives in a collaborative team environment
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail
• Professional, reliable and eager to learn
• Interested in media, publishing and industry storytelling

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Journalism or related field of study (preferred)
• Experience with SEO and social media publishing (an asset)
• Familiarity with Word Press (an asset)
• Experience with Adobe InDesign and Photoshop (an asset)
• Knowledge of the collision repair industry (considered an asset)
• Job Type: Full-time, Seasonal (Fixed-Term)
• Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8-hour day shifts
