We are seeking an experienced Part-Time / Fractional CFO for our client, a growing food products supplier based in Brampton.
This role requires a hands-on, operationally focused financial leader who can partner closely with ownership and leadership to strengthen day-to-day financial operations while driving strategic decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Operations & Infrastructure
Oversee and strengthen full-cycle accounting processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness across AP, AR, inventory, and general ledger
Improve and streamline month-end close processes and reporting timelines
Establish and enhance internal controls and financial processes to support operational efficiency
Ensure financial statements accurately reflect business performance, including inventory and cost of goods sold
Operational Finance & Performance Management
Partner with leadership to provide actionable insights on margins, pricing, and cost management
Analyze profitability across products, customers, and distribution channels
Support inventory management, costing methodologies, and working capital optimization
Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency and reduce costs
Strategic Planning, Forecasting & Cash Flow
Lead budgeting and forecasting processes aligned with business operations
Develop rolling forecasts and cash flow models to support decision-making
Provide scenario analysis related to growth, pricing, and supply chain changes
Support leadership with data-driven insights to guide strategic initiatives
Systems & Process Improvement
Evaluate and optimize existing accounting systems and reporting tools
Implement process improvements to enhance data accuracy and reporting visibility
Support any system enhancements or transitions as needed
Required Qualifications
10+ years of experience as a CFO, Head of Finance, or senior finance leader
Strong experience within product-based, food, manufacturing, or distribution environments
Proven ability to lead operational finance functions, including inventory and cost management
Experience improving financial processes, controls, and reporting in growing organizations
Strong business acumen with the ability to translate financial data into practical, operational insights
Hands-on, adaptable, and comfortable working in an entrepreneurial environment
