As a Financial Analyst at Brampton Transit, you will prepare and analyze Current and Capital Budgets, ensuring compliance with reporting standards. You will provide in-depth analysis for financial claims, assist in labour negotiations, and monitor Transit revenue and accounts.
Your role is crucial in delivering accurate financial and statistical data to enhance service efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
• Coordinate budget information gathering with department managers
• Conduct financial impact studies for labour negotiations
• Prepare monthly budget analyses and forecasts
• Monitor project-level financial tracking for approved projects
• Provide support on procurement, purchasing, and accounting matters
Requirements:
• Post-secondary degree or diploma in finance/accounting
• Minimum two years’ experience in finance or budgeting
• Knowledge of municipal finance processes
• Proficiency in MS Office, especially spreadsheets
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
