About Our Client Our client, a mission-driven non‑profit organization, is seeking an experienced Director of Finance & IT for a 6‑month contract to lead the organization’s financial management, reporting, compliance, and technology functions. Reporting to the Executive Director and working closely with senior leadership and the Board, this role will provide strategic financial oversight while ensuring solid stewardship of public funding and organizational resources.
The successful candidate will oversee a small team across Finance and IT, ensuring the integrity of financial operations, regulatory compliance, funding accountability, and technology infrastructure. This individual will play a critical role in supporting organizational growth, operational excellence, and long‑term sustainability.
About the Opportunity Financial Leadership & Strategy Lead all aspects of the organization’s finance function, including budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, cash flow management, and long‑term financial planning.
Provide strategic financial guidance to the Executive Director, leadership team, and Board of Directors.
Develop and monitor organizational budgets, identifying risks, opportunities, and recommendations to support decision‑making.
Present financial results, forecasts, and key performance indicators to senior leadership and Board committees.
Funding & Compliance Management Oversee financial reporting and compliance requirements associated with provincial, municipal, and other government funding agreements.
Ensure timely preparation and submission of funding reports, grant reconciliations, and supporting documentation.
Maintain strong internal controls to ensure compliance with funder requirements, regulatory obligations, and organizational policies.
Serve as the primary financial liaison with funding agencies, auditors, and external stakeholders.
