Development Finance Expert at City

Elevate municipal finance through strategic insights as a Development Finance Advisor with the City of Brampton. This role focuses on development charge frameworks and compliance with legislative requirements.

In this full-time position, you will report to the Manager of Capital and Development Finance. You’ll contribute to developing the City’s Development Charges By-law, manage various financial processes, and ensure the integration of provincial regulations within municipal strategies. Collaboration with external partners will play a key role in shaping effective public policies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Draft and review financial policies and agreements

• Liaise with development community to address finance queries

• Conduct financial analysis and scenario modeling

• Support monitoring of regulatory trends in municipal finance

• Prepare and present policy recommendations to leadership

Requirements:

• Degree in Finance or Public Administration required

• At least 3 years’ experience in public policy

• Strong grasp of development finance legislation

• Excellent analytical and presentation capabilities

• Proven collaboration skills across departments
