Financial Analyst I

Position: Financial Analyst I at Town of Halton Hills

Become a key finance partner supporting the Town of Halton Hills as a Financial Analyst I. This role focuses on budgeting analysis and financial reporting in a hybrid work environment.

Reporting to the Manager of Budgets and Financial Reporting, this position requires two years of experience in finance and customer service. You will collaborate with departments to ensure accurate financial information aligns with Council priorities and departmental plans. Your expertise will support long-range financial sustainability through various financial analyses and reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Act as Finance Business Partner for departments' budget matters

• Lead annual operating and capital budget coordination

• Assist with budget documentation and financial summaries

• Develop financial models to aid management decision-making

• Maintain budgets and reporting software accurately

Requirements:

• Post-secondary degree in Business, Finance, or Accounting

• Two years of relevant financial experience required

• Strong Excel and analytical skills

• Knowledge of CPA Canada Public Sector Accounting standards

• Experience with municipal finance preferred
