As an Underwriter/Deal Manager, you'll play an essential role in the mortgage lending process. This position requires you to underwrite residential mortgage deals, including evaluations of income and credit. You'll package files, ensure compliance, and manage conditions for all involved parties, ensuring smooth transactions from start to finish.

Key Responsibilities:

• Underwrite residential mortgage transactions and assess deal reasonableness

• Prepare lender-ready submissions with complete documentation

• Manage conditions and closing workflows proactively

• Support private lending by organizing investor packages

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic deal files

Requirements:

• Several years of mortgage underwriting experience in Canada

• Strong knowledge of income and credit analysis

• Excellent organizational and time management skills

• Clear communication for summarizing complex files

• Proficient with mortgage CRMs and documentation tools
