Community Development Officer Position

Support homeless youth as a Community Development Officer with a leading Peel Region organization. This role focuses on fundraising and donor engagement initiatives for social impact.

In this position, you will implement fundraising strategies while fostering relationships with donors, volunteers, and community partners. Your hands-on approach will involve coordinating events and managing database information to ensure smooth operations in grant support and community outreach efforts. Your impactful work will contribute significantly to youth independence and access to essential services.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with fundraising campaigns and donor engagement strategies

• Manage communication and marketing support

• Provide operational assistance to fundraising activities

• Prepare donor and grant proposals and reports

• Conduct research for funding and engagement opportunities

Requirements:

• Relevant post-secondary education required

• Minimum 1–3 years experience in non-profit or fundraising

• Excellent interpersonal and organizational abilities

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 and donor databases

• Valid Ontario driver’s license needed with insurance coverage
