Overview:
Reporting to the Business Development Manager, the Business Development Representative will play a crucial role in driving growth and promoting our innovative product solutions. This position is heavily focused on building relationships with General Contractors, Owners, Developers and Architects, with an emphasis on candidates who have experience and established connections within the GTAConstruction Market.
Key Responsibilities:
Proactively identify and cultivate new business opportunities by building and nurturing relationships with general contractors, architects, owners, and developers.
Leverage your knowledge of the GTA market to drive adoption of our product solutions through strategic introductions and relationship building.
Engage in detailed technical discussions and collaborate on specification updates with contractors and architects.
Manage process-oriented workflows, ensuring seamless communication between all stakeholders throughout project lifecycles.
Facilitate introductions between key industry players to expand business networks and opportunities.
Develop compelling business cases that demonstrate the value and ROI of our product solutions to various stakeholders.
Maintain comprehensive knowledge of our product's technical scope, market applications, and services to support business development efforts.
Establish and sustain close contact with general contractors, architects, owners, and developers to influence decision-making and drive product adoption.
Conduct presentations and meetings with key stakeholders to support business development initiatives and specification processes.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, or Business.
A Master's degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, or MBA is a significant asset.
Experience:
Extensive experience within the construction industry, particularly working with general contractors and architects in the GTA market.
Proven track record in sales, including relationship management, achieving targets, and successfully navigating complex sales cycles with contractors, architects, and developers.
Skills:
Strong technical aptitude with the ability to engage in specification discussions and technical problem-solving.
Excellent process management skills with attention to detail and ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders.
Skills:
Outstanding communication and presentation skills with the ability to effectively convey technical and business information to diverse audiences.
Professional demeanor with a focus on building long-term relationships and facilitating strategic introductions.
Willingness to travel as required to engage with clients and stakeholders throughout the region.
