- Education:
Secondary (high) school graduation certificate - Experience:
7 months to less than 1 year Tasks - Inspect and test cable signals and associated equipment
- Install and maintain aerial and underground telephone equipment
- Repair cable signals
- Test trunking systems
- Install trunking systems, circuits and equipment
- Determine nature, cause and location of trouble
- Climb and work aloft on poles, ladders or other support structures
- Connect, disconnect and relocate cable outlets
- Determine work assignments
- Repair or replace faulty cables, power suppliers and amplifiers
- Repair or replace defective telephone equipment Work conditions and physical capabilities
