This position reports to the Supervisor, Mining and focuses on heavy equipment operation at the Eskay Creek open pit mine. Bring your expertise in dozers, excavators, and graders specifically for mining and construction activities. You will execute tasks like large-scale material handling, pit development, and environmental control, all while adhering to safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate heavy mining equipment efficiently

• Handle material tasks like topsoil stripping and ore loading

• Support drilling and blasting operations at the mine

• Build and maintain haul and access roads

• Conduct pre-shift equipment inspections and maintenance

Requirements:

• 3-5+ years of heavy mining equipment operation experience

• Valid driver’s license with a clean record

• Ability to work in rugged and variable weather

• Commitment to safety protocols and regulations

• Physical capability for heavy lifting and prolonged standing
