Noisy, fast‑paced, physically demanding, weight handling up to 23 kg (50 lbs)
- Interpret welding process specifications, welding blueprints, drawings, specifications, manuals and processes.
- Operate manual or semi‑automatic, fully automated welding equipment and flame‑cutting equipment.
- Examine welds and ensure they meet standards and/or specifications.
- Fit, braze and torch‑straighten metal.
- Determine weldability of materials.
- Operate previously set‑up welding machines to fabricate or repair metal parts and products.
- Maintain and perform minor repairs on welding, brazing and soldering equipment.
- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- Experience:
7 months to less than 1 year in welding or related field. - Ability to read and interpret welding blueprints and specifications.
- Physical capability to handle up to 23 kg weight and work in noisy, fast‑paced environment.
