Water and Wastewater Operator

Become a Water and Wastewater Construction Operator with Peel Region in Brampton. This full-time on-site role focuses on upgrading water infrastructure and operating essential equipment.

In this role, you will support daily operations through equipment handling and infrastructure maintenance. You'll perform tests on water quality and contribute to construction tasks that enhance system capacity. The work is crucial for sustainable water management in the community, requiring hands-on skills and knowledge.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate hydraulic and pneumatic equipment safely

• Conduct water quality and system tests as needed

• Execute hand excavation, back filling, and restoration

• Clean sewer mains, laterals, and manholes

• Assist with watermain and hydrant repair services

Requirements:

• Grade 12 education or equivalent required

• Minimum 1 year in a related field

• Valid AZ Driver's License in good standing

• MECP Wastewater and Water Distribution certifications

• Knowledge of relevant safety regulations and equipment
