310T Licensed Mechanic

Hourly Rate: $42–$50/hour, based on experience

• Perform routine diagnostics, inspections, maintenance, and repairs on fleet vehicles and equipment.
• Complete inspections in accordance with regulatory and industry requirements.
• Review inspection reports submitted by drivers and complete necessary repairs.
• Conduct road tests and diagnostic testing on vehicle systems and components.
• Stay current with advancements in vehicle repair systems, equipment, and technology.
• Record work orders in TMW and maintain accurate documentation of completed work.
• Monitor parts inventory and arrange replenishment according to departmental procedures.
• Follow all workplace health and safety policies, regulations, and compliance requirements.
• Coach, mentor, and provide technical guidance to Apprentice Mechanics.
• Maintain a clean, safe, organized, and productive shop environment.
• Perform additional mechanical and maintenance duties as assigned.

The successful candidate will also provide technical oversight and guidance to Apprentice Mechanics.

• 310T certification with 3–5 years of relevant trade experience.
• Strong mechanical troubleshooting and repair abilities.
• Hands-on experience with hydraulic and electrical systems
  , including schematics and diagnostics.
• Experience coaching or mentoring apprentices within a registered apprenticeship program.
• Ability to work independently and effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Must have the appropriate tools required for fleet maintenance.
• G Class driver's licence required.
• AZ licence preferred.
• Welding experience is considered an asset.
• PC literate with intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office and job-specific software.
• Experience with a Transportation Management System (TMS) is an asset.

This position is primarily based in a heavy equipment and shop environment, with regular hands-on service, maintenance, diagnostic, and repair work required.
