Licensed Mining Equipment Technician

Use mechanical diagnostics and repair expertise as a Licensed Workshop Technician in Sudbury, Ontario, supporting Sandvik mining equipment and components.

This technician performs troubleshooting, inspection, maintenance, and repairs across mechanical and electrical systems. The position requires safe, efficient work that meets customer and operational requirements. You will also document service activity, test repaired equipment, and identify further repair needs.

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, maintain, and repair Sandvik equipment
• Inspect equipment for faults, malfunctions, and required repairs
• Replace defective components according to established procedures
• Test repaired equipment against operational and quality standards
• Complete service reports, analyses, parts documentation, and time records

• Technical mechanical diploma or equivalent trade-related education
• Valid Red Seal certification
• Three to five years of related mechanical experience
• Mining, heavy equipment, truck, coach, or automotive experience
• Ability to interpret hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical schematics
