Position: CFO for RM of Wallace-Woodworth
Location: Virden

Lead financial strategies as Chief Financial Officer for the RM of Wallace-Woodworth in Virden, MB. Oversee budgeting, provide strategic advice, and ensure fiscal compliance across municipal operations.

As CFO, you will guide financial management and strategic planning in a leadership role. Key skills include budgeting, financial forecasting, and collaboration with various municipal departments. Your expertise will support sustainable infrastructure investments while ensuring regulatory compliance with provincial legislation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Serve as senior financial advisor to Council and CAO

• Lead multi-year budget and long-range financial forecasts

• Champion improvement of financial systems and controls

• Prepare utility rate studies and ensure sustainability

• Collaborate on capital planning aligned with service objectives

Requirements:

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics; CPA required

• 3–5 years in finance; municipal finance preferred

• Strong knowledge of budgeting and grant management

• Leadership and communication skills essential

• Familiarity with municipal financial systems is an asset
