Chief Financial Officer for Municipal Leadership

Join the R.M. of Wallace-Woodworth as their Chief Financial Officer, a key leader responsible for financial management and fiscal planning. This strategic role involves critical budgeting and compliance initiatives.

The CFO will report directly to the CAO while advising the Council on financial strategies that support the long-term objectives of the municipality. You will oversee budget preparations, financial analyses, and internal policy development, making a significant impact on financial governance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead preparation of operating and capital budgets

• Analyze financial risks and opportunities for growth

• Coordinate municipal audits and year-end financial statements

• Ensure compliance with PSAB and provincial regulations

• Assist with capital project financial planning

Requirements:

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics with CPA designation

• 3-5 years of experience in finance or strategic roles

• Strong budgeting and grant management skills

• Knowledge of PSAB standards is a plus

• Excellent oral and written communication skills
