WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

We are looking for a Director, HR - Global (Supply Chain & Quality) to act as a strategic HR business leader to our Quality and Supply Chain Management Pillar globally.
This position is for an 18 month contract and is onsite at our manufacturing facility in Etobicok.

WHAT YOU’D BE DOING IN THIS ROLE
  • Provide thought leadership and strategic guidance to leaders and people managers within the SCM and manufacturing teams globally such as talent planning, organizational structure, organizational design planning to support the short term and long term business OKRs. Identifying risks and opportunities proactively.
  • Provide consulting support in areas of change management, teambuilding, conflict resolution, performance management, progressive discipline, talent management, talent acquisition, compensation and employee development
  • Create a comprehensive budget analysis, in partnership with the SCM-Finance team, of all SCM locations (globally) and a headcount cost savings plan. This plan will identify gaps, opportunities, risks and solutions for current and future fiscal years.
  • Champion change management efforts as required to foster positivity to maintain and improve workplace culture and retention efforts. Contribute to the development of the company culture and actively participate in the deployment of the employer brand
  • Support the SCM L&D team and co-creating a learning and skills development strategy catered specifically to each SCM location globally based on solid data (deep dive, listening sessions, observation, employee relation themes etc)
  • Participate in compensation planning responsibilities including partnering with Total Rewards on market analysis, benchmarking, and retention strategies
  • Support the Global HR sustainability initiatives to ensure third party agencies are in compliance with the Supplier Code of Conduct
  • In collaboration with VP of People, lead HR strategy in a complex SCM, Manufacturing, and Quality environment by confidently operating in the “grey” by balancing competing business and people priorities while maintaining agility and protecting core HR processes.
  • Work with People Leaders on people transformation projects such as new process implementations, new Human Resources technology, organizational design projects etc.
COACHING & RELATIONSHIP MANAGEMENT
  • In partnership with the People Leaders, develop, maintain and improve global People initiatives while working cross functionally with various key stakeholders.
  • Partner with People Managers on the performance enablement process (‘Human Journeys’) including education in goal setting, setting expectations and measuring and maintaining accountability
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS NEEDED TO GET THE JOB DONE
  • 8+ years of experience in a leadership role specific to the manufacturing and supply chain industry
  • Strong knowledge of HR policies and programs that are relevant to supply chain and manufacturing environments and industry. Experience in a GMP environment considered an asset
  • Proficiency in MS Office and Google Tools (MS Excel, MS Powerpoint, Google Drive)
  • Knowledge of HRIS and/or headcount planning tool technologies
  • Experience in a GMP environment considered an asset
