Director for Joint Services Operations

Assume a pivotal role in communities as the Director of Joint Services, responsible for operational leadership across various municipal services and facilities. This position demands strong staff and budget management.

In this strategic leadership role, you’ll oversee the delivery of services like camps, recreational spaces, and community programs. Working with the CAO, you’ll develop effective operating budgets while supervising and onboarding staff. Establishing relationships with community stakeholders and governance groups will also be key to successful municipal planning.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the operations of multiple municipal facilities

• Develop and manage budgets in partnership with finance

• Supervise recruitment and evaluation of staff

• Collaborate with community stakeholders and councils

• Contribute to long-term municipal planning strategies

Requirements:

• Minimum Grade 12; preferred qualification in related disciplines

• 5+ years of leadership in public sector operations

• Strong experience in HR and team leadership

• Proficient in budgeting and financial management

• Asset: experience with boards and governance
