Volunteer Opportunity

• Finance & Operations Lead
  , you will be responsible for:
• Detailed tracking of event expenses and projected budget.
• Updating the committee with key performance metrics (KPIs) throughout the season.
• Leading (or supporting the T-Shirt Pick-Up Coordinator - if applicable) with t-shirt pick-up on event day and early t-shirt pick-up.
• Training t-shirt pick-up tent volunteers and overseeing them on event day.
• Supplying all invoices and event paperwork to CCS staff partner throughout the year.

• You are passionate about the breast cancer cause, well-connected in your community, and enjoy event planning. The ideal candidate for this volunteer role has a positive attitude, communication and interpersonal skills, and a strong sense of self-motivation and time management.
• Knowledge and/or experience in any of the role responsibilities is considered an asset.
• Must be 18+ to apply.

You will gain experience:

• Contributing to the organization's vision of creating a world where no Canadian fears cancer.
• Develop your marketing, communication, and fundraising skills.
• Working collaboratively with volunteers in the community.

Age: 18-30, 31-54, 55+

• This is a 6-month commitment (May through October).
• Attending local committee meetings (generally bi-weekly to monthly).
• Independent role work/responsibilities (approximately 6-8 hours per month, with increased workload August & September).
• Must be available over the event weekend.
