Responsibilities- Finance & Operations Lead
, you will be responsible for: - Detailed tracking of event expenses and projected budget.
- Updating the committee with key performance metrics (KPIs) throughout the season.
- Leading (or supporting the T-Shirt Pick-Up Coordinator - if applicable) with t-shirt pick-up on event day and early t-shirt pick-up.
- Training t-shirt pick-up tent volunteers and overseeing them on event day.
- Supplying all invoices and event paperwork to CCS staff partner throughout the year.
- You are passionate about the breast cancer cause, well-connected in your community, and enjoy event planning. The ideal candidate for this volunteer role has a positive attitude, communication and interpersonal skills, and a strong sense of self-motivation and time management.
- Knowledge and/or experience in any of the role responsibilities is considered an asset.
- Must be 18+ to apply.
You will gain experience:
- Contributing to the organization's vision of creating a world where no Canadian fears cancer.
- Develop your marketing, communication, and fundraising skills.
- Working collaboratively with volunteers in the community.
Age: 18-30, 31-54, 55+
Time Commitment- This is a 6-month commitment (May through October).
- Attending local committee meetings (generally bi-weekly to monthly).
- Independent role work/responsibilities (approximately 6-8 hours per month, with increased workload August & September).
- Must be available over the event weekend.
