Location: VirdenWhat you’ll do:
The Agronomist works to acquire knowledge and experience to establish credibility and to develop ongoing, profitable sales relationships with the Co-operative’s customers. Contributes to the overall success of the Agro team through support and cross promotion of Farm & Ranch and Petroleum services and products. Key responsibilities are but not limited to:
Develop long-term customer relationships as a trusted agronomic advisorBuild and manage a customer list through proactive customer contact and follow-upExecute sales plans aligned with retail goals and inventory strategiesGrow sales and margins across seed, fertilizer, and crop protection productsDeliver timely crop scouting and recommendations that lead to product and service salesPromote bundled agronomy solutions, including drone scouting, custom application and soil samplingSupport customer events, grower meetings, crop tours, and product demonstrationsCross-sell Farm & Ranch and Petroleum products and servicesResolve customer concerns quickly and professionallyWho you Bring:
You are looking for a career in agriculture, and you have:
Degree or Diploma in Agriculture3–6 years of ag sales experience and/or agronomyStrong relationship-building and sales skillsConfident, practical approach to agronomic problem-solvingValid Class 5 Driver’s LicensePesticide Applicator’s License, WHMIS, TDG, and Forklift certification (or ability to obtain)CCA or Manitoba Institute of Agronomists (MIA) designation (or willingness to complete)Why Join Us
