What you’ll do:

The Agronomist works to acquire knowledge and experience to establish credibility and to develop ongoing, profitable sales relationships with the Co-operative’s customers. Contributes to the overall success of the Agro team through support and cross promotion of Farm & Ranch and Petroleum services and products. Key responsibilities are but not limited to:

  • Develop long-term customer relationships as a trusted agronomic advisor
  • Build and manage a customer list through proactive customer contact and follow-up
  • Execute sales plans aligned with retail goals and inventory strategies
  • Grow sales and margins across seed, fertilizer, and crop protection products
  • Deliver timely crop scouting and recommendations that lead to product and service sales
  • Promote bundled agronomy solutions, including drone scouting, custom application and soil sampling
  • Support customer events, grower meetings, crop tours, and product demonstrations
  • Cross-sell Farm & Ranch and Petroleum products and services
  • Resolve customer concerns quickly and professionally
  • Who you Bring:

    You are looking for a career in agriculture, and you have:

  • Degree or Diploma in Agriculture
  • 3–6 years of ag sales experience and/or agronomy
  • Strong relationship-building and sales skills
  • Confident, practical approach to agronomic problem-solving
  • Valid Class 5 Driver’s License
  • Pesticide Applicator’s License, WHMIS, TDG, and Forklift certification (or ability to obtain)
  • CCA or Manitoba Institute of Agronomists (MIA) designation (or willingness to complete)
