Job Description
As the Wireless Sales Supervisor at Staples Canada, you champion the customer experience in the wireless department. You help consumers and business customers achieve their learning and wellness goals by sharing expertise on wireless tech products, services, and trends. Primarily a sales position, you partner with management to determine and deliver daily financial and non‑financial goals. You commit to ongoing self‑development, sharing knowledge with the larger store team and other business units.
Responsibilities- Partner with management to identify and achieve short‑ and long‑term goals for the wireless department
- Ensure the team understands the connection between store financial success and wireless sales
- Lead and model selling by cultivating a selling culture with associates to achieve current goals and targets
- Unlock the whole store play by engaging with customers and associates in other departments when not engaged at the wireless kiosk
- Effectively resolve customer concerns and escalated issues to management when appropriate
- Perform follow‑up calls to solicit feedback on sales and promote additional products and services where applicable
- Take opportunities to identify and grow new business opportunities and prospects such as generating referrals and participating in outreach activities
- Work with market leaders including the General Manager, Divisional Sales Manager, Regional Sales Manager, Retail Sales, and Services Manager to target and generate business sales leads and referrals
- Provide management with relevant sales information
- Participate in recruitment, hiring, and onboarding processes within the department
- Be accountable for training and coaching associates in all aspects of sales and customer engagement
- Understand and adhere to all asset protection and privacy policies, and coach others to do so as well
- Completion of post‑secondary education is preferred
- 2+ years of wireless sales experience
- 1+ years in a supervisory role with direct accountability for achieving sales targets is preferred
- Ability to resolve client concerns diplomatically
- Ability to plan, organize, and prioritize efficiently to handle daily responsibilities and serve customers
