Pipelayer​/Labourer

Rempel Backhoe & Gravel is looking for a laborer/pipelayer to join our team. We are a family run business working in all aspects of heavy construction, including water, sewer, aggregates, site grading, helical screw pile installation, and more. We are based near Riding Mountain, about 18 miles North of Neepawa. This position would start May 1, or sooner.

We are based near Riding Mountain, about 18 miles North of Neepawa. This position would start May 1, or sooner.

• Starting wage of between $18-$25/ hour, depending on qualifications and experience
• A full time, year-round position
• A company culture that promotes good communication, learning, safety, and consideration of non-work obligations
• Home every night
• Sundays and almost all Saturdays off
• Overtime hours in season
• An opportunity to learn a wide range of skills, including pile installation, water and sewer installation, equipment operation, truck driving, mechanical repairs, and more.
• A possibility of receiving Class 1A Drivers training after demonstrating sufficient labor skills, and intentions to stay with the company

• A willingness to learn
• Physicaly active and able to lift heavy objects, climb in and out of excavations
• Ability to work as a team
• Ability to work 10-12 hours/day, 5 days/ week in season, with an occasional 14 hour day or Saturday

Experience in the following fields would be an asset.
