The Carpenter works with the Maintenance team while maintaining and upgrading the appearance of BSD buildings. The position is responsible for ensuring a safe work environment, performing repairs; designing/building cabinets and other construction projects; and maintaining equipment, locks, and door hardware.

Are established by the Supervisor of Facilities within the parameters of the job profile.

• Requires specific trade/carpentry knowledge including the ability to build, repair, renovate, maintain, and install carpentry and cabinets.
• Two (2) years experience in cabinet making.
• Class 5 Driver's License.
• WHMIS training/certification.
• Effective basic computer skills.
• Effective basic reading, writing and mathematical skills.
• Effective moderate interpersonal and communication skills.

• Journeyperson Cabinet Maker Certification.
