Join the growing JBI Tax Service team as we expand our remote preparer workforce across Florida, Texas, Tennessee, and Nevada for the 2027 tax season. This seasonal role offers high earning potential through commission-based pay and competitive splits, allowing motivated individuals to earn more based on performance and the number of tax returns completed. As a Tax Preparer, you will assist clients with gathering documents, preparing accurate federal tax returns, and delivering excellent customer service throughout the filing process. This role is ideal for individuals seeking a flexible, remote opportunity with strong income potential and a team-focused culture.

• Prepare individual and business tax returns using JBI-approved tax software (training provided).
• Review client documents such as W-2s, 1099s, income statements, and business expense records.
• Communicate with clients to gather missing information and ensure accurate, complete filings.
• Provide clear explanations of deductions, credits, refund outcomes, and filing requirements to clients.
• Maintain professionalism, confidentiality, and accuracy throughout the tax season.
• Follow JBI's structured workflow, training modules, and compliance guidelines.
• Deliver excellent customer service to ensure client satisfaction and repeat business.

• Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn tax preparation.
• Comfortable using computer-based software and entering financial information accurately.
• Good communication skills and ability to explain information clearly.
• Customer-service mindset with a professional and friendly approach.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
• Prior experience in customer service, finance, or administrative work is helpful but not required.
• Motivated to earn based on performance and client volume.
• In-depth knowledge of applicable tax laws, regulations, and deadlines.
• Proficiency with common tax preparation, word processing, and spreadsheet software applications.
• Familiarity with the tax return submission and confirmation process, including filing and extension dates.
• Excellent active listening and customer service skills.
• Exceptional organizational skills, including time management and strategic thinking.

This is a commission-based seasonal role. Preparers earn per completed tax return, with high splits based on performance, return complexity, and client volume.

• No hourly or salary pay is offered.

We are currently hiring remote preparers who reside in:

• Proven experience in tax preparation and tax compliance, with strong knowledge of tax laws and partnership tax concepts.
• Proficiency in tax preparation software and financial software; solid accounting/finance background.
• Excellent customer service, communication, and organizational skills; ability to manage time and handle client inquiries.
• Detail-oriented with strong math and data entry skills; proficient in 10-key typing and word processing.
• Experience in accounting environments (public or corporate) and ability to summarize financial data for clients.
