Nativity Catholic School is seeking a dynamic, faith‑filled Foreign Language Teacher to lead our 7th and 8th‑grade students. This role focuses on preparing middle schoolers for high school language programs by developing their linguistic proficiency and cultural awareness.

This is a part‑time position with the unique opportunity to increase hours by serving as a preferred substitute teacher on campus when not scheduled for language instruction.

Targeted Instruction:
Deliver a rigorous 7th and 8th‑grade curriculum focusing on grammar, vocabulary, conversation, and cultural literacy.

Bridge to High School:
Prepare students for Level 1 or Level 2 high school placement exams.

Flexible Support:
Optionally serve as a substitute teacher for other subject areas to support school operations and increase weekly hours.

Faith Leadership:
Integrate Catholic identity into the classroom through prayer and the study of global Catholic traditions.

Classroom Management:
Maintain a professional and engaging environment suitable for the middle school developmental stage.

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Education, World Languages, or a related field (required).

Certification:
Florida Teaching Certificate (or eligibility) in the target language.

Fluency:
High level of proficiency in both the target language and English.

Flexibility:
Willingness to adapt to a middle‑school schedule and assist with school‑wide needs.

Clearance:
Successful completion of a Level II background screening (FDLE Fingerprinting).

Safe Environment:
Completion of the Diocese of St. Petersburg Safe Environment Training.
