Preschool Teacher

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Provide supervision of students. Implement curriculum; develop daily lesson plans. Monitor, assess and report progress of student academic performance and behavior. Maintain student records. Monitor attendance and provide reports. Ensure the health and safety of students. Maintain a clean and orderly classroom. Operate a variety of classroom and office equipment, including audio‑visual equipment as necessary. Communicate with teachers, staff, administrators, and parents.

Administer basic first aid to children as needed and prepare accident reports as necessary. Attend staff meetings and trainings as required.

• CDA or Early Education college equivalent, minimum
• Knowledge of child development and early learning standards
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to build relationships with children, families, and staff
• Proficiency in computer software and technology
• Possess and maintain a current DCF staff credential; VPK teachers must have VPK certification
• Have a mature relationship with Jesus Christ; applicant should see this position as a call to ministry, not merely teaching
