Job Description

The Life Support Skills Coordinator, located at the Brandon Fl campus, executes regional delivery, instructor allocation, and skills verification for American Heart Association ( AHA ) courses across their designated geographic campus cluster. This role ensures that student certifications are processed swiftly and compliant with all emergency cardiovascular care guidelines.

This role reports directly to the Director of Life Support Skills Education

Required Qualifications

Valid AHA BLS / ACLS / PALS Instructor credentials required (Qualified Individual).

Preferred Qualifications

2+ years of active experience teaching life support skills

Course Execution: Lead regional BLS , ACLS , and PALS training courses and conduct high-stakes on-site physical skills checks

Job Duty

Local Administration: Set regional class schedules in coordination with the Director and program partners, manage regional course rosters, and process e-card request paperwork

Job Duty

Remediation Management: Deliver direct, structured student remediation for individuals struggling to meet passing criteria during cognitive or hands-on testing

Job Duty

Inventory Control: Provide on-site maintenance, cleaning, and tracking for resuscitation manikins, feedback devices, and local training site supplies

Job Duty

Instructor Coordination: Assist in certifying, assigning and monitoring program clinical faculty and if needed local adjunct AHA instructors scheduled to support large training cohorts

Job Duty

Professional Development & Knowledge Sharing: Attend at least one national or regional conference per year related to core responsibilities to bring back innovative practices and knowledge to faculty and staff. Support and/or hold airway training skills sessions upon request

Multi-Site Mobility: Travel between university locations and regional campuses as needed to meet the operational requirements of the job

  • Clear communication and remediation patience.
  • Strict adherence to standardized testing criteria

Zero compliance infractions or processing delays regarding local rosters, attendance validation, and swift remote e-card distribution

100% passing rates of required certifications achieved through patient, highly effective, and structured local remediation frameworks for struggling students

Pristine upkeep, sanitary compliance, and detailed tracking of localized resuscitation manikins, feedback devices, and safety gear

Seamless allocation and rigorous monitoring of local adjunct AHA instructors to ensure uniform, high-quality instructional delivery during large group cohorts
