As part of our team, you will work alongside a dedicated group of professionals truly making a difference in the health and lives of the people of West Florida. We are currently seeking an Ultrasound Technologist on a part-time/full-time/PRN/per diem/as-needed basis. As the Ultrasound Technologist, you will be responsible for producing quality, diagnostic radiographs, and ready for Radiologist interpretation.

• Select appropriate procedure on EOP request; enter charge code into system correctly
• Responsible for completed file to be turned into the Radiologist: main jacket with exam and time, correct inserts, interim and comparison films
• Distribution of all dictated reports and charting, stapling, mailing, filing of return films and purging of file rooms during any slow time on shift
• Ensure equipment table is kept clean, wiped down after every patient contact (including W/C, stretchers)
• Ensure equipment maintenance needs are reported immediately to supervisor to ensure minimal down time and safety

Qualifications:

• Allied health degree (2-year)
• Successful completion of a 12-month CAAHEP-accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography program
• Valid ARDMS with a minimum of 1 specialty
• Current BLS Certification
• Knowledge of the use and maintenance of equipment specific to ultrasound
• Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, sterile technique and patient positioning techniques
