Job Summary and QualificationsOur imaging teams are a committed, caring group of professionals. We are currently seeking a Florida-licensed MRI Technologist to provide magnetic resonance imaging services to patients performing procedures in a compassionate and respectful manner. As an MRI Technologist under the direction of a radiologist, duties will include but are not limited to:
- Demonstrate a strong and thorough knowledge of all MRI and associated equipment
- Obtain high-quality MR images assuring only optimal films are submitted for interpretation
- Facilitate the MRI procedure by selecting proper technical factors/techniques to accommodate all patients and select, prepare and administer the appropriate contrast material
- Prepare, transfer and position patients as needed ensuring modesty, safely utilizing auxiliary equipment and/or devices indicated
- Document all pertinent clinical information prior to exam, obtain informed consent, and complete all required fields within MEDITECH accurately and on time
- Maintain proactive and effective communication with patient and other caregiver colleagues to include the radiologist(s)
- Check the operation of the equipment, maintain cleanliness of table/equipment to prevent cross-contamination of contagious diseases and keep room stocked with necessary supplies
- Accept on-call and call-back responsibilities as needed to provide optimum patient care
Qualifications:
- Registered by the American Registry or Radiologic Technologist (ARRT)
- Clear/active Florida Department of Health licensure (CRT)
- 1 year of MRI experience preferred
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Organizational, verbal, interpersonal, customer relations, mathematical, analytical, grammar/spelling, basic computer, and clerical skills
- Ability to read/comprehend written instructions and follow verbal instructions
