Bodily Injury Claims Adjuster

GEICO is seeking a Bodily Injury Claims Adjuster to investigate, evaluate, and resolve complex auto injury claims within our Insurance department. In this role, you will review medical records, assess liability and damages, negotiate settlements, and ensure fair, timely claim resolutions while adhering to state regulations and company policies. You'll communicate with policyholders, attorneys, and medical providers, document findings in detail, and make data-driven decisions.

Responsibilities

• Investigate and evaluate auto bodily injury claims from first notice through resolution
• Review police reports, statements, and medical records to assess liability and damages
• Determine coverage applicability and set and adjust reserves appropriately
• Negotiate fair settlements with claimants, attorneys, and medical providers
• Maintain accurate, detailed claim files and documentation in claims systems
• Ensure compliance with state regulations, company policies, and best practices
• Collaborate with legal and medical professionals on complex or litigated claims
• Communicate clearly and professionally with policyholders and stakeholders
• Use data and metrics to drive decisions and manage caseload efficiently
• Participate in ongoing training and development to enhance claims expertise
