Director Of Economic Development

The Community of Agglomeration of the North Basin of Arcachon, an organization of 8 municipalities with 74,514 inhabitants, is looking for a Director of Economic Development (Category A position). The role will be under the authority of the Deputy Director General in charge of the Economic Development and Quality of Life Division.

The organization has been responsible for economic development since 2017 in a dynamic area with 12,000 businesses, 22,000 jobs, and 13 business zones totaling 500 hectares. The strategy focuses on sustainable economic growth through business support, economic land development, support for strategic sectors, economic and ecological transitions, and cooperation with Bordeaux Metropolis and institutional partners.

This strategic leadership position combines economic policy management, economic land management, business support, and the development of institutional partnerships in a rapidly growing, attractive territory closely linked to Bordeaux Metropolis.

Required profile includes:

• Proven experience in territorial economic development.
• Expertise in project engineering and economic planning.
• Strong knowledge of economic land, public accounting, public procurement, and business support schemes.
• Excellent writing and partnership-building skills.

Position requirements:

• Category A – Administrative or technical track.
• Positions:
  Territorial Attachés or Territorial Engineers.
• Salary:
  Statutory pay + RIFSEEP and annual additional compensation (CIA and bonus) + CNAS + restaurant vouchers.
• Availability for evening meetings and frequent travel.
