Selah Freedom is a faith-based nonprofit organization with a mission to end sex trafficking and bring freedom to the exploited. Through prevention, outreach, residential services, and education, we provide support and opportunities for survivors while working to create lasting change in our communities.

We are seeking a compassionate, organized, and dependable Assessment Assistant Coordinator to join our Residential team in Hillsborough County.

This position is ideal for someone who has a heart for serving survivors of sex trafficking while also enjoying the organization and coordination that happens behind the scenes. The Assessment Assistant Coordinator works closely with the Lead Assessment Coordinator, providing both direct residential support and administrative assistance to help ensure survivors receive consistent, trauma-informed care.

Support Survivors

• Provide direct support services to survivors of sex trafficking.
• Help coordinate services such as medical care, housing, mental health services, community resources, and transitions to long-term placements.
• Provide transportation to appointments and community resources as needed.
• Document victim services and other required information in the appropriate database.
• Help create a safe, supportive, and respectful residential environment.

Keep Things Organized

• Maintain household supplies and coordinate orders as needed.
• Conduct post-assessments and satisfaction surveys and enter resulting data.
• Maintain the house calendar and help ensure assigned tasks are completed in a timely manner.
• Complete monthly service audits to ensure grant reporting requirements are met.
• Prepare and send volunteer thank-you cards.
• Participate in meetings and trainings as requested.
• Share on-call responsibilities with the Lead Assessment Coordinator.

• Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Criminology, or another behavioral science required.
• Experience in a licensed substance abuse treatment program, trauma-informed care program, post-traumatic stress program, or an equivalent combination of relevant training and experience.
• Experience working with survivors of sex trafficking is preferred.
• Experience working in cross-cultural settings.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to balance administrative responsibilities with direct survivor support.
• Compassionate, professional, and able to maintain appropriate confidentiality and boundaries.
• Clean driving record.
• Willingness to participate in ongoing education, including a minimum of eight hours of annual training related to trauma, substance abuse, and sex trafficking.

This position requires schedule flexibility, including the ability to work weekends, overnight shifts, and holidays as needed. The position also shares on-call responsibilities with the Lead Assessment Coordinator.
