Overview

As a RN Registered Nurse Emergency Room, you will influence patient care through collaborative relationships with your direct manager and participation in hospital councils and nursing initiatives. Your clinical expertise will ensure high‑quality, efficient care in a fast‑paced, high‑acuity environment.

Responsibilities
  • Manage efficient patient flow including triage, screening, preparation for exam, general nursing care, and admission planning.
  • Instruct patients and families regarding medications and treatment instructions.
  • Maintain and review patient records, including posting test and examination results.
  • Administer medications in accordance with physician orders.
Qualifications
  • Must be licensed as a Florida Registered Nurse or hold an active FL RN license if a compact license is used.
  • Nursing Diploma or ASN required; BSN preferred.
  • Previous experience in an acute care setting strongly preferred.
  • Current American Heart Association BLS certification.
  • ACLS certification required within 6 months of hire.
  • PALS and/or ENPC certifications required within 6 months of hire.
  • NIHSS certification required within 6 months of hire.
  • Critical thinking, service excellence, strong communication skills, ability to follow written and verbal instructions, and PC proficiency.
