Registered Nurse Lakeland Freestanding ED

HCA Healthcare is seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse to join our Lakeland Freestanding Emergency Department, serving patients in a fast-paced, patient-centered environment. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality, evidence-based nursing care to individuals of all ages who present with a wide range of emergent and urgent conditions. Drawing on HCA Healthcare’s nationwide resources and commitment to clinical excellence, you will play a vital role in stabilizing patients, coordinating care, and supporting safe transitions in a modern, well-equipped freestanding ED.

In this role, you will perform rapid triage and ongoing patient assessments, recognizing changes in condition and intervening promptly. You will administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments safely and accurately, monitor cardiac rhythms and vital signs, and assist with emergency procedures as needed. You will collaborate closely with emergency physicians, advanced practice providers, technicians, and other interdisciplinary team members, contributing your clinical judgment and critical thinking to deliver coordinated, patient-focused care.

You will use an electronic medical record system to document assessments, interventions, and patient responses clearly and efficiently, while providing thorough education to patients and families about diagnoses, treatment plans, medications, and follow-up care. You will uphold rigorous standards of infection prevention, patient safety, and quality, following established policies and best practices to support excellent outcomes and an outstanding patient experience.
