We are seeking a Medical Surgical Registered Nurse Manager who will provide leadership and expertise to ensure all patients receive high quality, efficient care in a surgical environment.

Responsibilities include:

• Lead and manage patient care for assigned departments on a 24-hour basis.
• Ensure nursing practice standards, policies and procedures meet legal, accrediting and regulatory agency requirements.
• Maintain continuity of care through interdisciplinary teamwork.
• Collaborate with physicians, patients, and other health team members to discuss patient progress and treatment.
• Develop and implement programs to measure, monitor, assess and improve quality of nursing care, aligning with core hospital-wide improvement goals.
• Coordinate patient care with other services and departments throughout the hospital.

Qualifications:

• Licensed Registered Nurse in the state of Florida.
• Nursing diploma or ASN required; BSN preferred.
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Previous experience in an acute care setting strongly preferred.
• Strong critical thinking, service excellence, interpersonal skills, reading comprehension, verbal instruction following, and PC skills.
