RN Registered Nurse EMS Coordinator

As an EMS Coordinator RN, your voice to influence patient care is valued and empowered at every turn –whether through open, collaborative relationships with your direct manager or more formal opportunities through hospital councils and national nursing initiatives. You'll help shape decisions that elevate both patient outcomes and the future of nursing.

• Responsible for greeting and offloading all EMS arrivals during scheduled shift
• Meeting Assumption of Care standards as set by HCA
• Collaborates with EMS partners to create an environment of teamwork that supports improved outcomes and service
• Assists in managing department flow through coordination with assigned Clinical Nurse Coordinator
• Provides recommendations related to the EMS offloading process.
• Recommends and implements courses of action including training and development of relief EMS RNs
• Responsible for properly reception of the patient and initiating patient care
• Will properly hand off each patient to receiving RN for continuity of care
• Functions as a clinical resource for staff members and assist in necessary education of the nursing staff when not offloading EMS
Prepares and ensures equipment in the EMS offload area is functional}
