Maintenance Technician

TLR Group is seeking a Maintenance Technician for Nexus Brandon, a multifamily community in the Tampa area. In this on-site role, you will handle daily maintenance, repairs, and unit turns, ensuring apartments and common areas are safe, functional, and well-maintained. Responsibilities include troubleshooting basic HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and appliance issues; completing work orders and preventive maintenance; supporting renovations; and participating in an on-call rotation.

You'll work closely with a collaborative, resident-focused team committed to integrity, quality service, and continuous improvement, with opportunities to grow your maintenance and property operations skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and emergency maintenance for apartment homes and common areas at Nexus Brandon
• Troubleshoot and repair HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and appliance issues within scope of qualifications
• Complete work orders efficiently using maintenance management systems and follow up with residents
• Conduct preventive maintenance, safety inspections, and unit turns to meet quality and timeline standards
• Support renovation and value-add projects in coordination with contractors and property management
• Maintain clean, safe, and organized maintenance shop, tools, and building systems areas
• Collaborate with leasing and property management teams to ensure high resident satisfaction
• Participate in on-call rotation for after-hours maintenance emergencies as required
• Follow all safety protocols, company policies, and regulatory requirements
• Communicate clearly with residents, vendors, and teammates about work status and property needs
