Summary
Returns is responsible for solving any potential issues that may arise during the return process, such as proper return code assignment and errors that lead to the return of merchandise. The role involves following up with Home Stores and HS Distribution Centers to communicate the root cause of errors or potential errors and support the creation of a sustainable, error‑free process.
Returns also presents returns results and research findings to Senior Managers. Additionally, the Returns Admin ensures accurate designation codes for returned items, proper disposal, and allocation in the system. The position gathers information from customers to improve customer experience and is required to follow through with Customer Service functions. The Returns Admin is accountable for the accuracy and relevance of data for products returned.
Job Functions
- Track and compile return data to identify areas of concern and possible root causes.
- Physically observe and inspect returned items after delivery to ensure proper return coding.
- Gather information from customers about potential reasons for the return of merchandise.
- Solve any potential issues that may arise during the return process.
- Clear out the systems to make items ready for the billing department.
- Properly identify products by item number.
- Accurately identify return scores.
- Address driver issues regarding load out, such as missing pieces, missing hardware, cross‑dock items and items returned.
- Communicate with customers as needed to gather additional data and perform customer service functions.
- Report findings to immediate supervisor to correct errors and sustain a culture of continuous improvement.
- Demonstrate the Company’s Core and Growth Values in the performance of all job functions.
- Education:
High School, Diploma or equivalent - Experience:
1 Year of warehouse work

- Effective time management and organizational skills
- Understanding of the Lockout Tagout Process
- Knowledge of recycling principles
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
