Position Summary
Responsible for driving sales and financial performance of the Auto Care Center and service area by receiving, stocking, and presenting merchandise, ensuring accurate pricing, inventory levels, and proper signage. Manages budgeting, forecasting, and assessment of economic trends and community needs to achieve sales and profit goals. Implements corrective plans to address deficiencies.
Responsibilities- Provide customer service and assistance: acknowledge customers, identify needs, assist with purchasing decisions, locate merchandise, resolve issues, and promote products and services while maintaining a safe shopping environment.
- Create and process customer requests and service orders in accordance with company policies and procedures.
- Explain Auto Care Center and automotive products and services; ensure technicians are trained and certified for service procedures, staging vehicles, and assisting workflow.
- Maintain the Auto Care Center and automotive sales floor: stock, rotate, clean, organize displays, sign, price, and secure merchandise; handle damaged or out-of-date items; maintain equipment per company guidelines.
- Handle customer and merchandise claims, returns, and zoning; order, arrange, and organize inventory and supplies; monitor environmental disposal (e.g., batteries, tires, oil) and OSHA compliance to ensure safety.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, support plans and initiatives to meet customer and business needs, and communicate goals and objectives.
- Build accountability, measure progress, identify improvement opportunities, and promote continuous learning.
- Lead and develop associates through hiring, training, mentoring, assigning duties, recognition, and fostering a culture of belonging.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, ethics, and integrity; support open-door policy and provide guidance on applying business processes.
- Minimum of 2 years experience in automotive service or related industry.
- Minimum of 1 year supervisory experience.
- Valid driver’s license.
- For facilities that sell firearms, successful completion of a firearms-specific criminal background check and firearms authorized training.
- For facilities that sell only ammunition and have state-specific requirements, a current state-issued certificate of eligibility may be required.
- Required to attend and complete all job-required trainings and assessments.
- Automotive Certification from Automotive Technical Institute.
- Bachelor of Science in Business Management and Leadership through Live Better U and Bellevue University.
- Experience in automotive service or related field.
- ASE Certification (Primary).
