Pipe Welder

Trillium Construction is seeking Pipe Welders for a project in Brandon, MS.

Key Responsibilities
o Prioritize safety, work quality, work efficiency/timeliness, teamwork, and customer satisfaction (in that order).
o Applies & abides by industry standard safety practices & training provided by Company Management
o Maintains a clean and well-organized workspace & company vehicle at all times
o Strives to develop good working relationships with all co-workers, customers, and associates
o Works with customers & employees to provide effective solutions to various issues involving assigned work
o Read, understand, and work from various blue prints & drawing styles
o Fabricates & installs piping and structural steel per desired customer specifications
o Must be knowledgeable in regards to & capable of performing hydrostatic & pneumatic testing of piping
o Operates forklift, manlifts, & other necessary equipment to perform various tasks
o Use track torch, beveling torch, hand torch, plasma arc, grinders, beveling machines, and other specialized tools
o Repairs and services all piping, tanks, boilers, vessels and valves
o Torques flanges and associated equipment
o Must be willing to be on-call as required
o Must be willing to travel when required
o Must be willing to work night shift as required
o Must be willing to take direction & be able to apply it as directed by Company Management
o Serves as job leader for various tasks as assigned by Company Management
o Projects a positive, "can-do" attitude to all customers
o Ability & willingness to train others in pipe welding craft
o Other miscellaneous maintenance duties as requested

Pay rate is $32/hour.

Schedule:

Mon - Sat, 40h+ / week, 7a through 3:30p. All hours Mon - Sat outside of 7:00am - 3:30pm are paid as overtime. Sundays & holidays are paid as double-time.

Qualifications
-Welding tests
-2+ years of experience in fabricating, installing and repairing all types of piping and structural steel as required
-Strong communication, good organizational skills, quality craftsmanship, & strong knowledge of industry standard safe work practices

Physical Requirements
o Must be able to lift a minimum of 75lbs.
o Must be in a physical condition that will allow walking long distances
o Must be able to work in high places (no fear of heights)
o Must be able to work in confined spaces
