Corporate Safety Director

Location: Branford, CT

* Must be local to the New England Market (In-office position)

Pay: 125-150k base + incentives

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Corporate Safety Director to lead and continuously improve our nationwide safety program for commercial roofing operations. This leadership role is responsible for driving a strong safety culture, ensuring OSHA compliance, reducing organizational risk, developing training programs, and partnering with operations leadership to keep employees safe across all job sites.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage the company's corporate safety program across multiple locations.
  • Develop and enforce company-wide safety policies, procedures, and best practices.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA and all federal, state, and local safety regulations.
  • Conduct jobsite audits, inspections, and incident investigations.
  • Develop corrective action plans and track safety performance metrics.
  • Create and deliver safety training programs, orientations, and leadership development.
  • Oversee safety documentation, reporting, and regulatory compliance.
  • Partner with operations, executive leadership, insurance providers, and legal teams to minimize risk.
  • Evaluate and implement new safety technologies and AI tools that improve training, inspections, and documentation.
  • Represent the company during OSHA inspections, client meetings, and industry events.
Qualifications
  • 7+ years of construction safety leadership experience (commercial roofing preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations, fall protection, and construction safety standards.
  • Experience supporting multi-state operations.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and training skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and construction technology platforms.
  • Willingness to travel extensively throughout the United States.

  • Construction Health & Safety Technician (CHST)
  • OSHA Authorized Outreach Trainer
  • Associate Safety Professional (ASP)
  • First Aid/CPR Instructor
  • Competent Person Certifications
